The Conch Republic Days are here again. This great celebration in honor of the independent fun loving nature of our little island and its inhabitants, recounts
that one time we succeeded from the U.S. The fun starts today, so head on down to the historic Key West seaport and celebrate your independent spirit. The event includes such antics such as
drag "queen" races on Duval Street (April 19, 1-11pm), and the battle in Key West harbor where the Conch Republic vessels toss stale cuban bread at Coast Guard vessels in a mock secession battle (April 25, 6pm). Festivities begin at the Schooner Wharf bar today April 18th, 7pm. For more information visit http://www.conchrepublic.com/schedule.htm or call 305-296-0213.
