Even a category 4 hurricane can't keep the spirit of Key West down! As you know Key West sustained devastating winds from Hurricane Irma less than two weeks ago, and with the help of amazing first responders, our island community is making incredible progress in the efforts to clean up. While this storm was a catastrophic hurricane, the island of Key West was truly spared.
At VHKW we are happy to report that none of our vacation rental homes where damaged by flooding. The VHKW office and rental properties did not sustain any structural damage. There are a lot of trees down and properties are still being cleaned up. This is a labor intensive process and will take some time. We expect all properties to be restored and fully operational before the current re-entry of visitors slated for October 20th. If this date is brought forward by emergency officials, we will provide updates as we receive this information.
