The events will kick off with sailing vessels ranging in size from 23 to 72 feet. The boats will compete in the waters off Key West for their chance at the win. A Swedish biologist Viktor Nilsson-Ortman was out looking for nighthawks and mangrove cuckoos when he spotted the red-necked stint. Described as a mega rare bird, attracting birders from near and far. The find was made last week near the Naval Air Station in Key West. Read More
